Permalink Reply by bodhidharma on March 18, 2010 at 16:00 Who was the man about whom God spoke to Moses about in Deutronomy wherein He states: I shall send from amongst thy bretheren one who like unto thee. and I will cast my word upon his mouth and he is unlettered and he shall recite in My name. And whosoever that will not hearken to his words, I myself shall bring him to account!?
My wordings may not be accurate, but those who are versed with the Bible will know the verse being referred to here.
Permalink Reply by bodhidharma on March 19, 2010 at 18:08 Maybe so, but he too was lettered. So were all the Saviours and Prophets. I'v never come across your versions of Biblical interpretation. Sounds somewhat spurious. I dont know. Interesting though. Any one else has something to say about this man whom God promised to send?
Looking at the verse, important pointers:
1. Who are the brethren of the Jews?
2. Who was to the likeness of Moses?
3. Who was the unlettered Prophet?
4. Which Prophet in whose mouth and heart a heavenly book was revealed?
5. Who is the Prophet who recited the Holy Book revealed to him in the name of God?

Every cultist have superimposed their favourite religious figure onto the Scripture. It could even be you, but then I guess you are literate, and that's disqualification!
What does unlettered mean in the Biblical context anyway? The future Jewish king, David was a hillbilly.

bodhidharma said:My interpretation of the Bible is not Catholic or from it's offshoots. Hence the perceived peculiarity.
The Jews if you take them as a tribe, have at least 11 other brethren. Jah Rastafari from Ethiopia could be a contender, so could Joseph Smith from America. The latter actually produced a rather impressive scripture, The Book of Mormon. There are many others.
